Talking Mora Armatur

More than the sum of our parts

At Mora we often refer to a product development process where three elements need to be in harmony. Design, function and quality. As simplistic as it appears on paper, this delicate balancing act comes from years of product development and the dedication of our entire operation. A journey from A to B that we’ve spent decades perfecting. Product Manager, Marina Morell knows more about this route than most. “

Mora as a company has been my home for 19 years and counting. Mora the place, has been my hometown for just as long. This unique life has bought me so much joy, challenges and satisfaction in so many respects,” Morell says.

She began her career in customer support, learning the sorts of everyday needs a Mora consumer has, and also the professionals who install Mora’s mixers. Her path then took her into marketing, helping to identify the unique aspects of Mora’s products, which then took her into the actual product development team. A place where her learnings could be applied into developing innovative, intuitive tools to give a true water experience. It’s a journey that has given Morell a deep insight into Mora’s unique creative process. “It’s not a one man show at Mora. Which brings so many different perspectives into making a new range, design or piece of technology. Typically, we’re working anywhere up to five years in advance and my tasks are incredibly varied,” she continues.

One day she could be examining a minuscule screw which will become an integral part of a new mixer. Or she may well find herself in a room full of samples. And sometimes, it’s distilling all of the many innovations of a range into a few words that mean something special to the intended end user.

One big team

It’s not just the products which makes Mora special, it’s the way we make them as a team. A family of hundreds who share each other’s triumphs and support one another as a biological family would. “Mora as a company has a way of finding the passion inside each of its workers and nurturing that. It’s definitely one of the reasons this has been my only place of work since I left my schooling. And I know I’m not alone in that. We have a camaraderie that’s infectious. I genuinely love my team,” beams Morell.

It’s often the case that creatives work at their peak in environments where they feel they have the support and safety to explore and experiment, something we hold close to our hearts at Mora. We’re lucky in the way we’ve grown as a company through the many milestones of our industry. We know vast amounts about not only what we need to do to make progressive designs but also about those who use them. This knowledge can’t be obtained with a short cut, it comes through experience alone.

“The things we make  stand for quality, for creativity, the power of teamwork and being curious enough to find ways to improve on things even we thought may have been perfect already. We’re really tireless in the way we evolve, how we design and create, using technology when it’s right to do so or being true to our heritage. That’s how we consistently find solutions that eclipse the standards. That’s why, when a product is launched, I feel proud. You can feel the collective contribution of Mora,” Morell explains.

When you touch a Mora mixer, you can almost sense the many hands, personalities and talents who have helped it come to life.

It’s always you

We’ve always felt close to Mora’s users, and it’s no secret that we owe you a debt of gratitude for choosing our designs to help make your life a bit easier. You’ve always been at the centre of what we do, our thoughts are driven by how you live and making your water experience unique, something that leaves an impression on you.

“We know that our customers come to us because of the quality Mora has. The performance that you can trust and rely on. For us, the best thing is when you almost forget the roles that our mixers play in your life; that’s when we know we’ve done our jobs properly. But we now want to give you even more, to design and create bold pieces that are focused on those individual moments in your life. With colour, form and materials that speak to you even when they’re not being used. And that’s most exciting for us, a real, true, lasting water experience.”
